From Macworld.co.uk: Microsoft has a patent on a new kind of network: your body.
The software giant has received a US patent for a “method and apparatus for transmitting power and data using the human body”. An application for the patent, No. 6,754, 472, was filed in 2000. It proposes linking portable devices such as watches, keyboards, displays and speakers using the conductivity of “a body of a living creature.”
T.B.: I’m thinking out loud here, but isn’t this a copycat of Matrix technology, out of the movie?? Me thinks that M$ only patented this because of buzz from the first movie, which debuted right around 2000, if memory serves me right…
Seriously, though, this sounds interesting and but it will be doubtful that anything will ever come of it…. 😉
