I don’t know if I have a following on this website… I sort of write randomly and have my “off” moments.
this past week (or so it seems) has been no exception. The summer is coming to a quick close for me, leaving me with many, many loose ends to tie up before I head off to college. I’ve been busy prepping a “top-secret” proposal for the newspaper (don’t ask me because if I told ya, i’d have to kill you 🙂 ) and that thought process has sort of consumed me for the past week, or so. Plus other stuff is going on that’s causing me to think where I stand in life.
It’s funny, isn’t it, how everything changes at once. Once again I’m heading off to college and things are changing… The house next to mine has been torn down making way for a possible professional building… I’m leaving the library (where I’ve held a job since early on in HS) and all the people probably for the last time… My brother is considering enlisting in the Army… I’ve come to the realization that I may be on my own next summer…
Not that I’m saying these things are bad changes, but I guess it’s sobering times like these that make you thank God for what you have and have had.
As I told a friend in an email awhile back… “Life is a like a roller coaster… Just get in, hang on, and enjoy the ride.” – Life is ever changing.
